The kingdom of Baron is on a zealous quest to collect all the elemental
crystals. The commander of its air force, Cecil, is dismissed after
questioning the king's motives. With the help of of wizards, warriors, and
others, he sets out to stop the growing threat that is Baron -- and in the
process, unveils a far more insidious enemy.

| Description | Cecil's best friend, Kain is a Dragoon from Baron. He jumps to Cecil's aide when the King demotes him, and thus he is forced to go along with Cecil. However, his intentions are not clear. Don't be surprised to see him with the enemy. |

| Description | Cecil's girlfriend and a master White Mage of Baron. She ends up in Kaipo with a deadly illness, and Cecil must use the Sandruby to save her. She is most useful in the backrow with bows and arrows. |

| Description | The Prince of Eblan, a country destroyed by the Red Wings. Being a skilled ninja, he attempted to kill Rubicant, the fiend of fire and rescue his captured parents. Instead, Rubicant wasted him. Edge tries to act very brave, especially in front of Rydia. |

| Description | A caller from Mist, she hates Cecil until he reveals his good intentions. She is the member of a clan that allows one to summon monsters from a different world. she also knows black magic, and very little white magic. |

| Description | A Lunar(powerful magician) from the moon. FuSoYa knows of the great danger facing the "Blue Planet", and therefore journeys with Cecil to destroy the Giant of Babil. He knows almost every white and black magic spell, and was present when a great evil was sealed on the moon. |

| Description | A Karate Master from Fabul, Yang was training on Mount Fabul when monsters attacked his group. He is the only survivor of the main forces of Fabul. He has a strong sense of loyalty, and his Kick will help dispatch some of the enemies in one hit. |

| Description | The airship engineer chief of Baron, Cid is responsible for the creation of the Red Wings force. He is friends with Cecil and Rosa. He makes the party airships, and ultimately provides a distraction for their escape. |

He hates Gilbart, and tries to kill him, once he realizes that the bard (a.k.a Gilbart Chris von Muir, Prince of Damycan) led his daughter straight into the Red Wing's attack on Damycan. He has a strong hatred for Baron as well. He knows many spells, but forgot the best one, Meteo. |
